Marine transport and use of hydrogen: research and development from 1986 to today.
Seetransport und Verwendung von Wasserstoff: Forschung und Entwicklung 1986 bis heute.
Author(s) : WÜRSIG G.
Summary
The design of a 115,000 m3 capacity liquid-hydrogen tanker led, among other things, to a new insulation system that can also be used for LNG and is now being tested. In addition to the layout of the ship itself, new concepts have been developed for hydrogen propulsion and for 40 m-diameter tanks.
