Summary

A NEW SYSTEM IS DESCRIBED, FOR DISTRIBUTING AIR IN COLD ROOMS OF FRUIT STORES, WHICH INCLUDES SUSPENDED AIR COOLERS WITH EXTERNAL AERODYNAMIC WINGS. THE RESULTS OF TESTS CARRIED OUT ON MODELS AND IN THE COLD ROOMS OF AN INDUSTRIAL FRUIT STORE, ARE PRESENTED. THE TESTS SHOW THAT THE USE OF AERODYNAMIC WINGS GIVES A MORE REGULAR DISTRIBUTION OF AIR VELOCITY AND TEMPERATURE IN STACKSOF FRUIT, WHICH PROLONGS STORAGE LIFE C. C.
