Type of monograph: Software

Summary

This sixth version of REFPROP is a complete revision based on the most accurate pure fluid and mixture models currently available. It implements three models for the thermodynamic properties of pure fluids: the modified Benedict-Webb-Rubin equation of state, the Helmholtz-energy equation of state, and an extended corresponding states (ECS) model. Mixture calculations employ a new model, developed independently by Tillner-Roth (1993) and Lemmon (1996). Viscosity and thermal conductivity are modelled with either fluid-specific correlations or a new variation on the ECS method. It includes: 33 pure fluids and mixtures with up to 5 components; the most accurate pure-fluid equations of state currently available; mixture thermodynamic properties; surface tension of pure fluids and mixtures; transport properties; a completely new, Windows(TM)-based, graphical user interface.
