THE CHANGE IN NUTRITIONAL VALUE DURING FREEZING IS OF MINOR IMPORTANCE COMPARED TO CHANGES IN EATING HABITS. THE PRESENT CONSUMPTION OF FROZEN FOODS IS GENERALLY SO LOW THAT IT IS OF NO NUTRITIONAL IMPORTANCE. FOR SPECIAL GROUPS WHERE FROZEN FOODS SUPPLY A LARGE PROPORTION OF THE TOTAL FOOD INTAKE LOSSES IN NUTRIENTS ARE, HOWEVER, VERY IMPORTANT. HOME LIVING ELDERLY PARTICIPATING IN < MEALS-ON-WHEELS > BASED ON FROZEN FOODS IS SUCH A GROUP.
