Summary

The incidence of spotty symptoms was reduced by shortened curing period and rapid refrigeration storage. No prestorage treatments, such as fumigation with sulfur dioxide or aluminium phosphide, or controlled-atmosphere treatments reduced the incidence of spotty symptoms. Refrigerated storage strongly inhibited the incidence of spotty symptoms.
