Performance comparison of a bubble absorber with ammonia/lithium nitrate and ammonia/(lithium nitrate + water) for absorption chillers.

Author(s) : ORONEL C., AMARIS C., VALLÈS M., et al.

Summary

The authors used a ternary mixture (lithium nitrate + water) as an absorbent for ammonia. The amount of water in the ternary working pair has to be great enough to reduce the viscosity of the working fluid without requiring a rectifier for the vapour stream leaving the generator.
