Summary

THE STUDY PRESENTS THE RESULTS OF CONTROL TRIALS AGAINST MONILINIA LAXA AND M. FRUCTIGENA ON APRICOTS AND NECTARINES. SOME FUNGICIDES, REGISTERED IN ITALY ONLY FOR FIELD TREATMENTS (BENOMYL, BITERTANOL, IPRODIONE, PROCYMIDONE AN VINCLOZOLIN) AND EXPERIMENTAL ONES (DICHLOZOLINATE, ETACONAZOLE, MYCLOZOLIN AND PROCHLORAZ) WERE USED. FIELD AND POSTHARVEST TREATMENTS REDUCED THE OCCURRENCE OF MONILINIA SP, BUT THE LATTER PROVED TO BE MORE EFFECTIVE, ALSO AT LOWER DOSAGES. EXCEPT IN THE CASE OF BENOMYL, THE AMOUNTS OF FUNGICIDE RESIDUES WERE WITHIN THE LIMITS SET BY THE ITALIAN LAW.
