Summary
The paper describes trawlers designed for freezing and storage of tuna fish for sashimi processing for the Japanese market. First quality tuna has to be frozen at -50/-70 deg C and stored at -45 deg C. The trawlers are built by a Spanish shipyard for a Spanish-Japanese company and mainly made of reinforced plastic, except for equipment, which is easy to maintain and isolate. Other kinds of barges are being built for various uses.
