FROM THE INVESTIGATION OF PSEUDOMONAS SPP. IN DIFFERENT FOODSTUFFS (BLUEBERRIES, FISH, TURKEY, CHICKEN, EGG YOLK) AND FROM THE ANALYSIS OF THEIR ACTIVITY ON NITROGENOUS MATERIALS, IT APPEARS THAT ALL PSEUDOMONAS STRAINS ARE FOUND IN BLUEBERRIES, WHEREAS IN THE OTHER FOODSTUFFS ONLY P. AERUGINOSA, P. FLUORESCENS, P. PUTIOLA ARE CONTINUOUSLY PRESENT. PSEUDOMONAS STRAINS CAN BREAK DOWN AMINO-ACIDS. P. PUTRESCENS IS DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE OF THE DETERIORATION OF ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS, BUT THE DAMAGES SHOULD ALSO BE ASCRIBED TO THE OTHER STRAINS. A. M.
