TESTS LASTING ABOUT 12,000 HOURS SHOWED THAT DIFFERENT TYPES OF COMPRESSORS (OPEN-TYPE RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR, SINGLE SCREW COMPRESSOR, OPEN-TYPE COMPOUND COMPRESSOR) CAN BE USED WITH R142B WITHOUT ANY MODIFICATION. PERFORMANCES OBTAINED WITH R142B AT HIGH TEMPERATURE ARE CLOSE TO THOSE OBTAINED BY MANUFACTURERS WITH R22 AT LOW TEMPERATURE. CHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF R142B AND MOBIL OIL SHC 234 AFTER EACH TEST DO NOT REVEAL ANY DETERIORATION OF THEIR PROPERTIES.
