Comparison of the performances of the VIDAS Salmonella and EiaFoss Salmonella systems for counting Salmonella in raw pork, either minced or frozen, and either with or without additives. The two methods have a sensitivity comparable to that of the reference method. Their advantages are speed and simplicity.
