Author(s) : HEAP R. D.

Summary

TEMPERATURE CHANGES ARE IMPORTANT, PARTICULARLY WHEN THE REFRIGERATION UNIT IS OFF, AND ASSOCIATED WITH CHANGES OF SET POINT TEMPERATURE. THEORETICAL ASPECTS ARE DISCUSSED, AND EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS ARE PRESENTED FOR CARGOES OF FISH, BUTTER, CHEESE, FRUIT AND MEAT. THE INFLUENCES OF INSULATION, REFRIGERATION CAPACITY, AIRFLOW AND PACKAGING ARE DISCUSSED. RESULTS ARE ALSO PRESENTED FOR EMPTY CONTAINERS, AND FOR MECHANICALLY VENTILATED ONIONS AND NATURALLY VENTILATED COFFEE.
