Refrigerating compressors: present status and trends to be implemented in order to use new refrigerants.
Derzeitige and zukünftige Anforderungen an Kältemittelkompressoren.
Author(s) : KAISER H.
Summary
In the field of mobile air conditioning, for a long time now a search has been going on for a possible alternative to R134a from an environmental protection point of view. CO2 seems to be a serious alternative; as for other chlorine-free alternatives, it requires increasingly high process pressures. The originally defined limit of 25 bar maximum operating pressure for refrigerating technology will have to be raised to a greater or lesser extent in the future. The address explains the effects this will have on the construction of the refrigerating compressor on the one hand, together with the existing advantages of the reciprocating compressor design on the other.
