Reine Claude INFEL 1119 : maturité et conservation.
Author(s) : WESTERCAMP P.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Fruits harvested at different dates were analyzed for colour, average weight, flavour and firmness. Changes in these parameters were monitored and compared between batches stored at ambient temperature and batches placed in cold storage. Cold storage delays the loss of firmness, but this is accelerated once the fruit is returned to ambient temperature. The fruit must be eaten 5 to 8 days after it is removed from cold storage, depending on whether it is late or early harvest.
