The paper examines the conditions under which reducing and then stopping the use of CFC 11 and 12 may be envisaged in developed and developing countries (article 5). Mobile air-conditioning and water-chillers are examined, in particular. Retrofitting modes, costs, and possible dates are envisaged. Recommendations are given.
