Type of article: Article

Summary

THE PRESENT STATUS OF RESEARCH ON THE VISCOSITY AND THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF FLUOROCARBON REFRIGERANTS IN BOTH LIQUID AND GASEOUS STATES IS REVIEWED BRIEFLY. EXISTING ALTERNATIVES, SUCH AS R22, R142B AND R152A, ARE ALMOST SATISFACTORY FOR APPLICATION TO REFRIGERATING TECHNOLOGY. NEW ALTERNATIVES LIKE R123 AND R134A, ARE REPORTED ON, AS WELL. THE NUMERICAL VALUES OF THE VISCOSITY AND THERMAL CONDUCTIVITYOF CFCS AND ALTERNATIVE REFRIGERANTS ARE PRESENTED GRAPHICALLY.
