Some correlations for saturated liquid density of refrigerant mixtures.

Summary

Three methods are tested against laboratory measurements using a magnetic densimeter for 5 binary mixtures, R152a-R114, R22-R152a, R22-R142b, R152a-R142b, and R152a-R134, also one ternary mixture R22-R152a-R142b. The methods are the volume translation procedure using the Peng-Robinson equation which proved useful where no liquid density data is available, otherwise the modified Rackett equation gives better results, whilst the Hankinson-Brobst-Thomson equation is less useful.
