Summary

Experiments were conducted to find out optimal conditions for controlled atmosphere storage of non-astringent persimmon (cv. Fuyu) and plum (cv. Soldam) fruits, cultivated in Korea Republic. Fruits were preconditioned at 0-2 deg C for 24 hours prior to storage. Persimmon fruits could be stored for 5 months in 9% CO2 + 2% O2. Plum fruits could be stored for 12 weeks, without any quality changes, in 0% CO2 + 1% O2.
