Author(s) : KAYNAS K., OZELKOK S.
Summary
Studies were conducted to investigate the effect of different curing treatments on storage quality of garlic bulbs (88-89 and 89-90 seasons). Changes in chemical composition of garlic bulbs were also studied during storage. Garlic bulbs after different curing treament were stored at 8 deg C for 2.5 months, or 4 deg C for 2.5 months, or 2 deg C for 2.5 months, with 70-75% relative humidity at the air flow rate 175 m3/h.ton. Results are given. The design of an ideal garlic store for curing and subsequent storage is discussed.
