Author(s) : LIU Z.

Summary

THE EFFECTS OF DMSO ON THE VIABILITY OF BONE MARROW CELLS, FETAL LIVER CELLS AND LYMPHOCYTES AT 277 K (4 DEG C) AND AT ROOM TEMPERATURE, THE LD50 DOSE IN MICE, AND CLINICAL APPLICATION DOSE OF DMSO ARE REPORTED. IT IS SHOWN THAT IN CONTRAST TO PRESERVATION AT 277K, CELL VIABILITY AND CFU-GRANULOCYTE-MONOCYTE YIELD WERE MARKEDLY DECREASED AT ROOM TEMPERATURE PRESERVATION. UNWASHED AND DILUTED CRYOPRESERVED BONE MARROW AND FETAL LIVER CELL SUSPENSION HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFULLY TRANSPLANTED INTO ANIMALS AND PATIENTS WITHOUT ANY HARMFUL SIDE-EFFECTS.
