Summary
Besides a thermodynamic comparison of various refrigerants, the paper looks at technological aspects, such as flammability, performance design, safety design, practicability, economy and marketing. It is possible that cyclopentane could gain importance as an alternative for R11 as a foam blowing agent for refrigerator insulation in India.
