Temperature monitoring devices.

Summary

The European directives give a new impulsion to the temperature monitoring of quick-frozen foods. There are mechanical and electronic recorders of which the latter are developing rapidly. It would also be useful to apply these regulations to chilled foods. It is however necessary to standardize these temperature recorders and draw up a code of practice.
