The application of synthetic liquid cryogens in the distribution, storage and production of food.

Summary

Use of SLA (synthetic liquefied air) as a means of providing refrigeration is an exciting new development being pioneered by BOC. SLA can be used in situations where people are working. When fully vaporized, it produces a life supporting environment of 18 to 21% oxygen. It has the power to reduce temperature very quickly in any enclosed space. To date, SLA has been used in a number of applications. The paper looks at the characteristics of the product and touches upon a number of applications.
