Summary
In March 1999, a new plant destined exclusively for meat products opened in Madrid. Its main innovation is that it uses natural gas as its main energy source. A detailed description of the project is given, specifying its energy needs, the solution adopted for energy management, the cold and heat systems used, the description of motor-compressors, and the reliability of the system adopted.
