Summary

THIS REPORT INCLUDES TWO DIAGRAMS, ONE TABLE AND TWO GRAPHS IN AN EXPLANATION OF THE EXPERIMENT USED TO DETERMINE THE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF PACKED FROZEN SPINACH. THE MEASURED VALUE WAS FOUND TO BE BETWEEN 1.25 AND 1.8 W/METRE.K. AT 253 K (-20 DEG C), DEPENDING UPON THE STACKING ARRANGEMENT OF THE PACK. THE RELATIVE ERROR OF THE MEASURING APPARATUS WAS AROUND 7% AND THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY WAS CALCULATED TO BE 1.8 W/METRE.K. (INT. PACKAG. ABSTR., GB., 4, N 4, 1984/04, 362, 1048.
