Time for retrofitting refrigeration systems is when servicing.
Type of article: Article
Summary
A study by a USA refrigerant manufacturer claims that retrofitting, at the time of a service call, with a change to a substitute refrigerant, can be less costly than replacing with the original CFC refrigerant. Although this claim is based on complete refrigerant charge replacement and is valid only due to the ever increasing price of CFC refrigerants, nevertheless there is obvious merit in using a service occasion to include a refrigerant change.
