Two-phase compression cycles for high temperature heat pump systems.
Author(s) : OZAKI K.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Two-phase compression cycles accompanied with liquid refrigerant injection cooling methods are the key technologies used for the high performance high temperature heat pump systems being developed within the context of the Super Heat Pump Programme. The paper describes two-phase compression heat pump cycles that have been studied from the theoretical viewpoint of cycle analysis to clarify the optimum liquid injection conditions. This is the first step needed to develop high temperature heat pump systems, which supply 300 deg C thermal output from a 150 deg C heat source.
