Summary

MONITORING THE TEMPERATURE THROUGHOUT THE JOURNEY IS INCREASINGLY IMPORTANT AND IS NOW POSSIBLE WITH ACCURACY. A LIGHTWEIGHT, BATTERY OPERATED, RUGGED AND COMPACT UNIT IS DESCRIBED WHICH IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A DETAILED TIME/TEMPERATURE HISTORY OF A FOOD THROUGHOUT ALL STAGES OF ITS MANUFACTURE AND DISTRIBUTION. THERMISTORS ARE USED AS TEMPERATURE SENSORS AND THESE ARE MOUNTED IN STAINLESS STEEL TUBES ENABLING THEM TO BE USED FOR MONITORING DEEP PRODUCT TEMPERATURES. SOFTWARE IS AVAILABLE TO ANALYSE THE DATA AND TO PRINTOUT THE RESULTS IN REPORT FORM.
