Summary
This is a joint publication of UNEP DTIE OzonAction and GRID-Arendal. It features over 30 graphics explaining physical, technical, economic and political aspects of the disconcerting process of ozone destruction in the atmosphere and the human action that has been taken to stop the process. It also sheds light on the challenges still remaining and the links between ozone depletion and climate change, both in physicochemical and political terms. It features materials such as story ideas, contacts, a comprehensive glossary and more links to information related to the ozone hole and the Montreal Protocol. It is designed to be a practical tool for journalists who are interested in developing stories related to ozone depletion and the Montreal Protocol.
