Summary
With increasing concern about environmental and safety issues, the use of water as a refrigerant would be well worth considering. In view of this, the York Group has been developing water refrigerant chillers for several years. This article presents a salient feature of chillers using water refrigerant and describes the advantages and limitations. It also covers a demo plant installed in Denmark and potential application areas in the future.
