A high-flow controlled atmosphere and temperature fruit treatment unit.

Summary
In this treatment (particularly for insect disinfection) unit, it is possible to accurately control the temperature of a large load of fruit (800 kg) by using high volume gas flows. The unit is programmed to ensure a temperature ranging from -5 to 70 deg C, a relative humidity from 40 to 95%, a 0 to 4 m/s gas flow rate, at four gas concentrations. During the study carried out on controlled atmospheres, some samples have been taken. The temperature is recorded by 48 probes; other parameters are also recorded at the same time. This unit is transportable.
