This manual is one a collection of AICVF (Association des Ingénieurs en Climatique, Ventilation et Froid [Air-Conditioning, Ventilation and Refrigeration Engineers' Association] manuals. The tools provided can be used alone or adapted either to other climates than France or in specific situations: types of buildings, types of system, etc. This manual also comprises a detailled section indicating conventions, formulations and basic data used in the manual or useable in applications considered as an extension of the manual. Two types of calculation are given: "manual" methods (involving the use of 100 tables representing over 10,000 data) and "software" (supplied in the detailled appendix section; see this issue of the Bulletin, ref. 99-1305).
