Summary

This publication is a supplement to Manual n. 2 published the AICVF (Association des Ingénieurs en Climatique, Ventilation et Froid - Air-Conditioning, Ventilation and Refrigeration Engineers' Association): see this issue of the Bulletin, ref. 99-1304). It comprises 350 rarely used formulae that are difficult to use in most engineers' and technicians' daily practice. The formulae and algorithms are specially designed to be used by those (increasingly users of computer technology) designing software, calculating loads. Extract of the table of contents: insolation; solar masks; exterior conditions; translucent walls; opaque walls; interior conditions; internal loads; infiltration and ventilation; principles underlying the basic method; the basic method with respect to other methods given in the manual; basic methode to tabulated and simplified methods; application of tabulated methods; unitary charge tables; Simplified methods. A CD-ROM containing the main calculation codes in Visual Basic form (entirely free of charge) is supplied with this supplement.
