Summary

The article deals with air-conditioning design in the agro-food industry. For the air-treatment stage, the article discusses cooling mode (direct or indirect), refrigerants and the calculating of refrigerating capacity. Also studied are heat production, air humidification and dehumidification, the air change rate and its effect on electrical power, and cascaded excess pressures in different rooms. The author then presents methods of air distribution and problems encountered, including the measuring and monitoring of different variables and the cleanibility of different devices and rooms.
