Summary
In China, NH3, H2O and air refrigerants have been used in air-conditioning systems and freezers for a long time but the hydrocarbon R600a has been used in refrigerators only since 1994; double-inlet reversible pulse tube refrigeration with helium was first developed in China, and the application of CO2 is in the investigational stages.
