FOR THE TENTH YEAR, IN MAY 1980, UNDER THE SPONSORSHIP OF THE DEUTSCHEN LANDWIRTSCHAFTS-GESELLSCHAFT, THE RESULTS OF THE QUALITY APPRAISEMENT OF 62 SAMPLES (FROM 12 PROCESSORS) OF PREPARED MEAT PRODUCTS, I.E. 35 PRECOOKED AND 27 READY-TOEAT, ALL PACKED IN PLASTIC BAGS, ARE GIVEN. FOR THE FORMER, 7 WERE AWARDED THE MAJOR PRIZE (20%), 13 A SILVER MEDAL (37.1%) AND 3 A BRONZE MEDAL (8.0%). FOR THE LATTER, 4 WERE AWARDED THE MAJOR PRIZE (14.8%), 8 A SILVER MEDAL (29.6%) AND 5 A BRONZE MEDAL (18.5%). THE OBSERVATIONS OF THE JURY ON THE ORGANOLEPTIC PROPERTIES OF THESE PRODUCTS ARE COMMENTED UPON, OF WHICH 40 OUT OF 62 WERE SATISFACTORY, THE IMPROVEMENT OF THEIR PRESENTATION BEING STRESSED. G.G.
