Summary

APPLICATION OF THE COUNTER COULTER TO THE MEASUREMENT OF THE CELL AND PROTOPLAST VOLUME DURING CULTIVATION UNDER DIFFERENT CONDITIONS. THE WATER PERMEABILITY OF THE MEMBRANE WAS CALCULATED. A RELATION WAS SEEN BETWEEN THE LOWEST WATER PERMEABILITY OF THE YEAST CULTIVATED UNDER MICROAEROBIOSIS AND DISCONTINUOUSLY, AND THE LOWEST CRYOTOLERANCE (COOLING RATE OF 36 DEG C PER MIN). UNDER AEROBIOSIS, THIS RELATION IS NOT OBVIOUS. (Bibliogr. int. CDIUPA, FR., 91-275473.
