Summary

This report has been compiled at the request of the CFC project group under the Nordic Council of Ministers. It is dedicated to plastics enterprises which use CFC as blowing agents and its aim is to pass on information on CFC-free plastic foam technology from Nordic enterprises to enterprises in other countries requiring this technology. It includes 50 datasheets describing equipment and processes which have been developed and implemented by Nordic enterprises. Each datasheet contains the following information: name and address of the enterprise; specification of the product; description of the original process; description of the new CFC-free technology; description of operational implications; investment and operational costs, and name of the person to contact for further information. The report contains also a chapter on substituting materials.
