COMHEX. A concept for a Joule cycle: theoretical analysis and design study. Engineering licentiate thesis.

Author(s) : NOWACKI J. E.

Type of monograph: Doctoral thesis

Summary

This thesis investigates the possibility of extending the range for the inverse Joule process to areas of heating and cooling where it has not been used so far. An unconventional type of machine for the process is suggested and analysed. COMHEX stands for COMpressor Heat exchanger and EXpander. Extract from the table of contents: physical principle; engineering problems; system design analysis; rough cost and benefit analysis.
