Summary

THE FIVE METHODS USED IN QUALITY CONTROL IN THE REFRIGERATING INDUSTRY ARE DESCRIBED. TO COMPARE THESE METHODS SERIAL TESTS WERE MADE WITH SAMPLES OF CARROTS, SPINACH AND GARDEN SORREL. THE BEST RESULTS WERE ACHIEVED BY THE ION-SELECTIVE METHOD AND THE CONTIFLO AUTOMATED ANALYSER. THESE TWO METHODS ARE SUGGESTED FOR USE IN QUALITY CONTROL IN THE REFRIGERATING INDUSTRY.
