Summary
To investigate the technical guidance of high temperature compression heat pumps, the fundamental physical and thermodynamic properties of potential refrigerants are listed and compared. Typical refrigerants are R152a, R1233zd (E), R1234yf, R1234ze(E), R1234ze(Z), R717, R718, R744, and so on. The natural refrigerants, especially water, show large potential prospects in high-temperature industrial application. Meanwhile, the main system parameters of high-temperature heat pump, including pressure ratio, compressor volume, discharge temperature, unit power consumption, and system coefficients of performances (COP) with the same heat yields are compared. Results indicated that R1234yf refrigerant has advantages on system COP, low discharge temperature and medium pressure ratio in condensation temperature range of 60-85?, R1234ze(E) and R1234ze(Z) are more suitable for condensation range of 80-100°C and 100-120°C.
