Summary

Compressor performance tests showed that the EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) of R152a is 4.2% greater and its refrigerating capacity is 4.7% lower than those of R12. Adding a little R22 to R152a improved their comprehensive performance. The EER of the mixture decreases and its refrigerating capacity increases with the percentage of R22. This article shows that the thermophysical performances of R152a and R152a-R22 are excellent and the prospect of their application in refrigerators is good.
