TAKING THE EXAMPLE OF A COLD STORE FOR APPLES, THE AUTHORS HAVE DEVELOPED A MODEL FOR SIMULATING THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND WEIGHT LOSS DURING A 32 WEEK STORAGE. THEY HAVE STUDIED THE INFLUENCE OF VARIOUS PARAMETERS SUCH AS INSULATION THICKNESS, TEMPERATURE AND RELATIVE HUMIDITY, INITIAL TEMPERATURE OF THE PRODUCT, THE HALF COOLING TIME ON TOTAL ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND WEIGHT LOSS.
