Condensation of refrigerants in horizontal microfin tubes: a new correlation.

Author(s) : WANG H. S., WEI J. J., HONDA H., et al.

Summary

A new correlation is presented for predicting the heat-transfer coefficient during condensation of refrigerants in horizontal microfin tubes. Predicted values are compared with earlier prediction methods and with available experimental data for seven tubes and five refrigerants. The r.m.s. deviation (of relative residuals of heat-transfer coefficient) for all tubes and all refrigerants taken together was less than 11% and for the worst individual tube-refrigerant combination less than 16%.
