Cost effective storage and distribution of temperature sensitive vaccine.

Summary

Vaccines don’t last forever. When they reach their expiration date, the jabs need to be disposed. At this time, vaccines require very diverse storage and transportation temperature requirements. This fact has become apparent since vaccines have been developed to fight Covid 19 and now monkey pox. Temperature storage requirement for long-term shelf life varies from +8°C to –80°C. A solution must be found to minimize vaccine loss as a result of not maintaining the cold chain as required.
A solution for long-life storage of vaccines of varying temperature requirements could be the establishment of a storage vaccines center (Specifically for RNA vaccines) with capability for large quantity storage and multiple temperature settings. Individual sites would be able to store with significantly less expensive refrigerated storage systems only the quantity of vaccine needed for short duration.
The proposed system would result in both significantly lowering vaccine loss, simultaneously resulting in cost saving in excess of 30% to both governments and end appliers. Reducing losses would make vaccines more readily available globally and remove developmental storage temperature constraints.
