Summary

A cubic state equation is proposed, including generalized parameters. With this equation, it is possible to predict, very precisely, the properties of polar and slightly polar substances, in a large range of temperatures, from the triple point to values higher by 2 to 5 times than the critical value, and for pressures up to 10 megapascals. The control test made on this equation, for 17 substances, showed that the calculation error for the saturated liquid density is within 2-2.5 %, of the saturated vapour density (4 %), and of the latent heat of evaporation (3 %).
