Summary

DIFFERENT PRETREATMENTS WERE TESTED FOR THE RECOVERY OF ESCHERICHIA COLI IN FOOD SYSTEMS AFTER FREEZING-THAWING. THE RECOVERY OF BACTERIA STRESSED TO SUBLETHAL LEVELS IS SHOWN TO BE POSSIBLE IN A NON NUTRIENT MEDIUM AFTER ONE HOUR AT 310 K (37 DEG C).
