Dynamic simulation model for shell-and-tube condensers.
Author(s) : COSTIUC L.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The paper presents the numerical modelling of the shell-and-tube phase-change heat exchanger. The following ecological refrigerants were used: R134a, R152a and R717. The results (condensing pressure and temperature, convective heat transfer coefficients, wall tube temperatures on each flow section, and outlet water temperature) were obtained based on a computer programme using the corresponding state equations and criteria equations for heat transfer modelling for the above mentioned refrigerants and a differential equation model for shell-and-tube heat exchangers with phase change.
