Summary

This experiment was carried out to evaluate quality changes in persimmon cv. Taubaté, packed in PVC plastic film and unpacked, stored in room temperature. The use of plastic film hastened some of the processes related to ripening, with the fruits showing reduced flesh firmness, lower degree of astringency, higher titrable acidity and a considerable reduction in weight loss.
