Summary

Tests with cells heated to 60 deg C for 5 minutes or frozen at -20 deg C for 6 days. The inoculation of stressed cells on a trypticase-soya-yeast extract broth results in a higher growth rate than the one obtained with an enrichment broth for Listeria. The injured cells can be restored after 6 to 8 hours.
